It was a year ago when I traveled with my wife to visit our son who lives with his family in the center of the country. Returning to Beer Sheva he always takes us back in his car to the Arlozorov bus station. But that time we were late for the last bus. Then he took us to the Tel Aviv's Central Station. Since he didn't know the way to the entrance of the station, he circled around for a long time, via dark and obscure alleys and side-streets. We discerned suspicious types; prostitutes wearing minimum dresses, men who were either their clients or pimps who passed our way. Bad smells of stench and of urine came up to our noses. Finally we found our way to the bus station. Later on it turned out that we've passed through the infamous district of the illegal immigrants, the world of prostitution and crime, the home of drug dealers—a shameful stain on the big metropolis of Israel.
Lately a detailed report has been released on the issue on channel number 1 of the Israeli television. The title of the report was "The deepest possible place." We saw again that despicable site up close and the good hearted man who came from South America, who established an asylum for the fate stricken women who had been engaged in prostitution. From these visions and from other reports I read on the subject in the newspapers and on the internet (see appendix in the end of the book) I had been inspired to write this book. It's a sad and a hard story about heartless and merciless criminals and about women whose fate was cruel and who fallen victims in the net of scoundrels because of their poverty and naivety.
